DELTA's asset management expertise is focussed on the management of physically distributed assets, and the provision of related services. This expertise has been developed from decades of experience managing utility networks and related assets.
DELTA's enterprising team of specialist engineers and designers undertake a variety of asset management functions, such as system development and design, contingency and capital development planning, plant operation and network control, and management of contractors, including tender management and contractor liaison.
DELTA has dedicated systems for asset recording and reporting, including an information system for geographical asset mapping. Customers include asset owners across a wide range of sectors including; data transmission, networks, public and private lighting systems, metering and associated services, and local government facilities. DELTA's asset management group currently manages approximately 5,300km of electricity lines,36 zone sub-stations, five bulk supply points and over 6,000 transformers in the Otago region, equating to the provision of over 1300GWh (2007). In addition, DELTA manages a significant quantity of metering and street lighting assets.
